Your Rights Under GDPR and Privacy Laws

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. We will delete your data within 30 days of receiving your request.

How to Delete Your Data

1In-App Deletion (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your data:

  1. Open the JMM Sermons app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Select Account
  4. Tap "Delete My Data"
  5. Confirm deletion

✓ Confirmation email sent
✓ Data deleted within 30 days

2Email Request

Send an email to request data deletion:

To: privacy@jmmsermon.com

Subject: Data Deletion Request

Include:

  • Full name
  • Email address associated with your account
  • Any other identifying information

✓ Response within 48-72 hours
✓ Identity verification may be required
✓ Deletion completed within 30 days

3Online Form (Coming Soon)

We are working on an online form for data deletion requests. In the meantime, please use the in-app option or email method above.

What Data Will Be Deleted?

When you request data deletion, we will remove:

  • Account information (name, email, phone)
  • Listening history and preferences
  • Downloaded sermon records
  • User preferences and settings
  • Analytics data linked to your account

What Data May Be Retained?

We may retain certain data for legal and security purposes:

  • Transaction records (if applicable) - for tax/legal compliance
  • Anonymized analytics data (not linked to you)
  • Legal communications - for 30 days after deletion for record-keeping
  • Backup copies - automatically deleted within 30 days

Within 24-72 hours

Request acknowledged and processing begins

Within 30 days

All personal data permanently deleted from active systems

Confirmation email sent to you

Important Notes

  • Account Access: Your account will be immediately deactivated upon deletion request
  • Downloaded Sermons: Locally downloaded sermons on your device will remain until you delete the app
  • Irreversible: Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
  • Third Parties: We will notify third-party processors to delete your data

Alternative Options

If you don't want to delete all your data, consider these alternatives:

Deactivate Account

Temporarily disable your account without deleting data. You can reactivate later.

Update Privacy Settings

Adjust what data is collected through app Settings → Privacy

Disable Analytics

Stop analytics data collection while keeping your account
